I will never forget growing up my mom would hang clothes on the clothes line on nice days when the sun was out.

When my mother did that I thought she was a genious. As a result of mom’s action the electric bill was reduced. The clothes were nice and air dried and had a pleasant outdoor fresh aroma once they were taken off of the line.

There was no question that the clothes were safe to put on and completely dry; they were more dry than what the drying unit did that we had in the house. Like many mothers my mother discovered a way to use energy for free to accomplish getting the clothes dry.

Letting the clothes hang on the clothes line during a warm summer’s day gave birth to what is now referred to as self-sufficient alternative power sources. Reasons to make your home a unit that receives free electrical power can be numerous. Cost savings should be at the top of the list.
